Porcelain Doll
PORCELAIN DOLL
People see her as strong
See her as a rock for all
Do they even know the true her?
Some only see her outer self
Skin, curves, chubby flaps
But they never see the true self
Inner child that weeps daily
As she hides under a lil bed
Polite lady who holds feelings in
Keeping herself closed off from others
Refined, soft words flutter from her lips
Rebellious teen who wants to runaway
Leave life behind her
Blasting music from speakers surrounding her
To drown out the fears that imprison her
Tomboy girl who races toy cars across a room
Dreaming of being a cowgirl on a ranch
With a spirited horse only tame with her
Overall she is a porcelain doll
Strong in its creation
Fragile in its material
Her soul caught in the eyes and pouty lips
Where a uncaring one can break so simply
Her heart hidden to only be given to worthy ones
Never to falter from its loving spirit
Her mind full of dreams and desires
Shown in the story of her life within the box
Outwardly she is just a doll
Made of delicate milky porcelain
Inwardly she holds her secret self
The part that only few will ever see
Treat her with kindness
In return she will leave you spellbound
